who we are
In the heart of the room time stops, and nature rules.
Since 1978, Estancia dos Elianas has rescued the traditions of the Chilean countryside and an interest in sharing those who visit us, the life of a Patagonian ranch and the culture that shapes this territory.
During the last stage of the agrarian reform, the land was awarded to Don Bautista del Carmen Cardenas Perez, who until then served as a foreman for shepherds in the Tierra del Fuego livestock society.
This moment marks the beginning of a family history deeply linked to the field and to Patagonian livestock.
With effort and years of work, Don Bautista was giving form to Estancia dos Elianas, erecting pens, stalls, sheds and houses that today are part of its historic center.
Sheep production became the main activity of the room, keeping alive the work and customs of the Magellanic field.
After the death of Don Bautista, the stay remained in the hands of the family, giving continuity to the work that began decades ago.
Currently, Christian Cardenas, her son, is in charge of Estancia dos Elianas, maintaining her livestock tradition and the family legacy.
The family decided to open the doors of the room and share their way of life with those who visit Patagonia.
This is how it is born Agrotourism The springs, incorporating new spaces within the historic facilities to receive visitors and bring them closer to the authentic life of a livestock stay.
